For the record, it is about in the year 1790s through to the1800s that cup cakes became visible in cookbooks. Generally, they were considered as a small baked cake that looks like a small amount of serving of a larger size cake. They were a small serving with icing or sprinkles that were placed on its top plus a thin paper cup on its bottom to hold the cup cake itself.
